For all of us...
Many of us have discovered that we can attend church services developing a group of acquaintances without really getting to know anyone on a genuine person to person basis.
With the goal of building significant relationships, we launched Life Groups in the fall of 2016. The small group purpose is to simply meet weekly and “do life” together. We’ll spend our time getting to know each other, praying together, and discussing the message from the previous Sunday.
About Life Groups
Sermon-based question time
Life Groups will have three components to the weekly gatherings. One of those focal points will be discussing and answering questions about the previous week’s sermon. By simply attending church, listening to the message, and taking thoughtful notes, you will be ready to participate in your Life Group. You might be pleasantly surprised by how much you can remember about truths you learned beyond Sunday afternoon.
You’ll notice our bulletin (paper handed out on Sunday mornings) includes questions about the message. These questions, found in the inside of the bulletin, will be used for the weekly discussion time. We are including these questions so that those involved with a Life Group can easily take notes. We also want invite you to take notes even if you aren't in a group. We want to encourage anyone who attends Faith Baptist Church to consider and make plans to join a group!
What can life groups do for the church?
The small group purpose is to simply “do life” together so that we build significant relationships. We expect to find strength in our relationships, fostering church-wide growth & unity to serve God & our community.
Life groups in Faith Baptist's future
We hope and pray that small groups may breathe life into deeper connections within our church family. We will get to know each other, pray together, and engage in spiritual discussions while applying these truths in our daily lives.
